Marshall McLuhan once observed that television was 'a vast wasteland'. Well in that definition it has been supplanted by the internet. People, including myself, spend way too much time doing nothing basically inside of this box. I think it is a good thing if it is used as a tool to foster interaction between people but once it becomes the be all and end all of interaction it becomes worthless.

I have had 3 on-line 'relationships' with different women from all over the US. They were all fantastic people and predictably all of the relationships ended because we were never able to meet. I can safely say 'what the hell were we thinking of?'. Time to unplug and mingle people...
